Providing help and support to former members of the UK Armed Forces (Veterans) across the Warwickshire & West Mercia Area.

Provide 16+ Detailed Case Studies

The Remember Veterans CJS Project is more than just asking the Armed Forces Question, we want to ensure that the early identification of Veterans status across our Criminal Justice Partners leads to a positive impact on the support and opportunities provided to veterans.

“I have received more positive help, advice and general information from them than any other agency that I have dealt with so far, they see me as the ex-serviceman I am and not solely as an ex-offender.”  Mark (Veteran)

We will continue to capture and record how we support Veterans in the Criminal Justice and their journey throughout their rehabilitation. We will ensure that the veteran’s voices are heard and embedded in our delivery. Veterans assist in our Champions Training helping our CJS Veterans Champions understand barriers and issues they face, and what really works.

At our first CJS Veterans Champions networking event at RAF Cosford on the 6th June 2017, we will hear “Chad's” story live.  Chad will tell us of his journey through the CJS, what support he received, what worked and what didn’t work, what could be done better. He will also inform us of his current situation and how the Remember Veterans CJS Project has helped him.

I am of the belief that X’s involvement and progress with us since his release from custody has been nothing short of remarkable. He is an individual who only previously engaged occasionally, offended regularly and was vulnerable to negative influence” YSS Staff (Veterans Champion)
